Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. ~Heb. 11:1 Faith is a sounder guide than reason. Reason can only go so far, but faith has no limits. ~Blaise Pascal~ Our five senses – taste, touch, sight, hearing and smell are designed by God to help us navigate and understand the time-space world we live in… Faith doesn’t deny the five senses but goes beyond them. Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible. ~Corrie Ten Boom~ And without faith it is impossible to please Him… ~Heb. 11:6 Can that be right?… that it is impossible to please God without faith? It makes sense that the contrary is true… Living by faith pleases God, as it is the ultimate expression of our trust in Him. …But the righteous man shall live by faith.~Rom. 1:17b
It is not the strength of our faith but the object of our faith that actually saves us. ~Tim Keller Our faith is not to rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. ~1 Cor. 2:5 I was in a season of struggle and vividly remember talking to the Lord about my situation… “I’m really hurting… I’m not making it… but here’s the deal Lord, if I go down the tubes, I’m going down with you.” It was a confession of faith regardless of my need or the outcome I wanted.. My circumstances didn’t radically change, but my response to my circumstances did change… Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want. It is the belief that God will do what is right. ~Anon.~ We are saved by grace through faith… we are to live by faith… and we walk by faith not sight. ~2 Cor. 5:7 The Lord is forever trustworthy and faithful!
