Dear SCC & Friends,
An appointed time… ~Ecclesiastes 3:1
Reflection #260
Life is just a classroom with a glorious opportunity to prepare for eternity. ~Billy Graham~ I have been sending Reflections every Wednesday since the onset of the Covid Pandemic, beginning March 13, 2020. The very first Reflection began with a quote by Holocaust survivor Corrie Ten Boom… Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God. The Lord has sustained us through a very tumultuous season of both triumph and tragedy. Social media and cultural acrimony have tested personal relationships and ongoing trust in institutions. It would be futile, if not impossible, to recall all that has transpired in these past five years. What is completely possible and something to reflect on, is that the Lord has been with us every minute of every hour of every day of every week, month and year. Thirty-five hundred years ago, Moses penned these words… And the Lord is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear, or be dismayed. ~Deut. 31:8 …Selah…
God’s timing is perfect… He’s never too early or too late… He who counts the stars and calls them by name is in no danger of forgetting His children. ~Spurgeon~ The Good News will remain forever the Good News… His truth is marching on, and this is our appointed time to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness… We were “hand-picked” by the Lord to live in this day and age for His honor and glory. He has set eternity in our hearts, giving us purpose in a time-space world that will never change…“…And you shall love the Lord Your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” ~Mark 12:30-31 Make no mistake about it… we were made for these days… Keep up the good work!
He is forever faithful,
Kevin
