And He shall be the stability of your times, a wealth of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is his treasure. ~Isaiah 33:6
Update #51
“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo. “So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live in such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time given us. ~ JRR TolkienTime is a multifaceted, ever consistent and constant phenomena in the human experience. It is the great equalizer, and makes no distinction regarding one’s social status, ethnicity, wealth or achievements. Tempus fugit (Time flies) …We can’t stop it, slow it down or eradicate it. Time is God’s creation in the midst of eternity. Scripture reminds us, But as for me, I trust in Thee, O Lord, I say, “Thou art my God.” My times are in Thy hand… ~Ps. 31:14-15a Selah…
The ancient Greeks had two different words for the concept of time – “chronos” and “kairos”. Chronos refers to chronological or sequential time, while kairos signifies a proper or opportune time for action. Our journey has us caught in the middle between the mundane and ordinary duties of life, and that singular time or season when the Lord says, “Enough, follow Me! COVID has given us pause to think about the times we live in and what is important in life. We can also realize the great opportunity we have in “these best of times and worst of times”. The Lord is with us at all times and in all places, always and forever the stability of our times. No matter what the future holds, we know this to be true, that …neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~Rom. 8:38-39 Keep up the good work! The best is yet to come!
Blessings and grace,
