Dear SCC & Friends,
…And in Thy book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them. ~Psalm 139:16
Update #54
Easter is around the corner, and I’ve been reminiscing about my journey and our journey in Christ. So often I’ve said, “I found the Lord, or I received the Lord on July 1, 1972.” The truth is He found me and received me. That was a very special day, and I was different…everything seemed different, and only later did I understand what had happened. For He delivered us (me) from the domain of darkness, and transferred us(me) to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. ~Col. 1:13-14The Lord’s transfer is like none other, through His power delivering us from the realm and domain of darkness into His glorious Kingdom. We are now forgiven, redeemed and set on a path with only one ending…eternal life…Selah…What a mighty God we serve!
The term “prevenient grace” means God was working in us before we or surrendered to His will. How I got to where I am only God can explain, but I’m good with that. Before we “became Christians,” or knew what we now know, the Lord was at work in and through our lives. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. ~Eph. 1:4 (The Message)Whatever tomorrow brings, we can say He’s been in all our yesterdays, even when we didn’t believe or had little interest in the things of God. …But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. ~Rom. 5: 8 What a gift…what an honor to know and serve our Savior. We were made for these days. There’s light in the tunnel…Keep up the good work!
Yours in Christ’s love and redemption,
Kevin
