Dear SCC & Friends,
Update #16
He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end. Ecclesiastes 3:11
Amazing verse about time and eternity–Everything appropriate in its time…I can’t help but think of all the inappropriate things in our time, yet He has placed eternity in our hearts for now and always…that we may know, love and serve Him, and love our neighbor throughout our life. We were made for such a time as this, and we carry the eternal and eternity within our hearts. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I shall know fully just as I also have been fully known. 1Cor. 13:12
Eternal Life
…no beginning or end, outside of time, ceaseless and without intermission, everlasting, forever, always was, always is, always will be, endless. Often Scripture uses eternal as an adjective…eternal God, eternal Father, eternal life, eternal punishment, eternal power, eternal dominion, eternal glory, eternal salvation, eternal judgment, eternal redemption, eternal Spirit, eternal inheritance, eternal covenant, eternal Kingdom. COVID 19 will pass, social upheaval will be mitigated in time and His truth is marching on…The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of the Lord endures forever…Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever. Let’s accept our responsibilities to be salt and light, and even consider it all joy when we encounter various trials, especially in these times of uncertainty and transition. We have been given the greatest gift of all…eternal life…and now is the time to give back in and through our lives to the One who has given us life eternal.
Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. “Aslan is on the move.” God bless you!
2 Cor. 4:16-18
Yours in His amazing grace,
