Dear SCC & Friends,
The very hairs of your head… ~Luke 12:7
Reflection #157
God loves each of us as if there was only one of us. ~Augustine~ There are approximately eight billion people in the world. The average human being has approximately 100,000 hairs on their head. If you multiply that by the number of people in the world, it will be 8×1014 or 800,000,000,000,000 human hairs of which the Lord keeps a perfect account. Across the world, people lose 800 billion hairs a day, yet not a single hair escapes God’s purview… Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. ~Lk. 12:7 Our Savior knows our thoughts, words and deeds down to the smallest detail of everyday life. I’m an open book to you; even from a distance, you know what I’m thinking. You know when I leave and when I get back; I’m never out of your sight. You know everything I’m going to say before I start the first sentence. I look behind me and you’re there, then up ahead and you’re there, too—your reassuring presence, coming and going. This is too much, too wonderful—I can’t take it all in! ~Ps. 139:2-6 MSG …Selah…
If you believe in a God who controls the big things, you have to believe in a God who controls the little things. It is we, of course, to whom things look little or big. ~Elisabeth Elliot~ And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. ~Col. 1:17 He singles out each one of us beyond our capacity to fully comprehend, but not beyond our capacity to have faith where our understanding is limited. Scientific estimates state that the Milkey Way Galaxy has as many as 400 billion stars, and that the known universe has well over 250 billion galaxies… The math is beyond calculation… He counts every hair and names every star, and His lovingkindness is beyond all measure. …you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, the days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day. ~Ps. 139:16 MSG God will never love you more than this very day. …I am with you always, even to the end of the age. ~Matt. 28:20 Keep up the good work!
Made for these days,
Kevin
